Dr. Weg is dedicated to giving each patient the time and attention needed to ensure proper care is provided. Therefore, our practice must adhere to the following policy:
 

• Dr. Weg has "opted out" of Medicare. As such, Medicare guidelines forbid our office from submitting any claims to Medicare either directly or through secondary insurance.

• Per Medicare requirement, patients will be asked to sign a "Private Contract" indicating that they are responsible for full payment at the time of the visit and that the visit fee will not be reimbursed by Medicare. 

​

• All laboratory tests sent out of the office and out-of-office radiology studies requested by Dr. Weg will continue to be covered at the discretion of Medicare or your secondary insurance company. 

• Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and Video Capsule Endoscopy procedure fees are the responsibility of the patient. Anesthesia and Pathology services will continue to be covered at the discretion of Medicare or your secondary insurance company.

• Dr. Weg is not responsible for the coverage patients receive from their insurance company.
